Agriculture
- agribusiness: a large-scale farming enterprise
- farming: the practice of cultivating the land or raising
stock
- Agriculture (a term which encompasses farming and
ranching) is the process of producing food, feed, fiber,
fuel and other goods by the systematic raising of plants and
animals.
Modern agriculture extends well beyond the
traditional production of food for humans and
fodder, (starch, sugar, alcohols and resins), fibers
(cotton, wool, hemp, silk and flax), fuels (methane
from biomass, ethanol, biodiesel), cut flowers,
ornamental and nursery plants, tropical fish and
birds for the pet trade, and both legal and illegal
drugs (biopharmaceuticals, tobacco, marijuana)
Agricultural Technology
The Britannica
says that Agricultural Technology is "application
of techniques to control the growth and harvesting of animal and
vegetable products."
Students who are interested in agribusiness
management and marketing education and training combined with
technical education should be interested in this course. They

Architecture
Students would have
to study a combination of two courses in order to qualify for
recognition by the professional architectural boards. Students start
with the Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science) and
then proceed with the Bachelor of Architecture.
Graduates will be
working within the architectural profession or the building industry
working with the designing and construction of buildings, bridges
and other related fields.
Art and Design
Art and Design
encompasses many fields and specialties. It is an unfounded fear
amongst parents and students that students would find it difficult
to secure a job upon graduation. It is a fact that art and design is
found in each and every part of our daily lives. Everything that we
see around us starts from the creative mind of a designer.
From shoes, clothes,
bags, phones, cars to electrical appliances like our everyday rice
cookers and lights, we find that art and design will always be a
part of our lives.
Interior designers
make shopping a draw. Fashion designers decide how we look like.
Graphic designers help to colour our lives. If there were no
designers, what we see on television would be a dull image.

Automobile Technology & typeering
A very hands on program would be the pathway
of those who are interested in working on cars and vehicles. With
the growth of the automobile industry and the growing number of
vehicles on the roads today, there is a shortage of qualified people
who can keep our vehicles in proper shape.
This course is good for people who are good
with their hands and it provides a pathway also to those who are
interested in going further into the study and design of the next
generation of vehicles we will see on our roads soon.
In countries like Australia, an automobile
technician earns in excess of AUD60,000 per year.
Bakery
This course provides students with the practical skills and
knowledge to make bread, cakes and pastries and sell these products
in a retail environment ensuring food quality and hygiene.
