In the world of globalisation today, you will find that the choice to subjects and majors that you can study are wide and far ranging. Students today are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing what they want to pursue. Many make the mistake of choosing some program which is not of their interest but those into which they have been pressured. Courses make up the most important element in your career pathway. You will have a choice of taking a course with one major or a course which gives you a wider range and the option to combine majors giving you a better knowledge base which will help you to be more diversified thereby more marketable when you graduate. Here are some
guides to some of the courses that are available. Note that however,
there are many more courses which are available either in Single
Majors or in combination of Double Majors or Double Degrees such as
Law and Commerce, Business with Science amongst others.

Advertising is paid, one-way communication through a medium in which the sponsor is identified and the message is controlled by the sponsor. Variations include publicity, public relations, etc.. Modern agriculture extends well beyond the
traditional production of food for humans and
fodder, (starch, sugar, alcohols and resins), fibers
(cotton, wool, hemp, silk and flax), fuels (methane
from biomass, ethanol, biodiesel), cut flowers,
ornamental and nursery plants, tropical fish and
birds for the pet trade, and both legal and illegal
drugs (biopharmaceuticals, tobacco, marijuana)
The Britannica says that Agricultural Technology is "application of techniques to control the growth and harvesting of animal and vegetable products." Students who are interested in agribusiness management and marketing education and training combined with technical education should be interested in this course. They develop an understanding of new agronomic technologies along with those of animal science and production. It enables students to gain skills which will enable them to assume leadership roles within the agribusiness sector. Aquaculture is the cultivation of aquatic animals or plants in a managed environment. It is integrated with the sciences of aquatic biology and ecology, physiclogy, chemistry and biochemistry as well as the aspects of mathematics, physics and engineering. Combined with Seafood Science as a major, it provides the theoretical basis of aquaculture seafood processing and water quality management. There are also majors in Aquatic Resources and Fisheries Management as well as Coastal Zone Management. Students would have to study a combination of two courses in order to qualify for recognition by the professional architectural boards. Students start with the Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science) and then proceed with the Bachelor of Architecture. Graduates will be working within the architectural profession or the building industry working with the designing and construction of buildings, bridges and other related fields. Art and Design encompasses many fields and specialties. It is an unfounded fear amongst parents and students that students would find it difficult to secure a job upon graduation. It is a fact that art and design is found in each and every part of our daily lives. Everything that we see around us starts from the creative mind of a designer. From shoes, clothes, bags, phones, cars to electrical appliances like our everyday rice cookers and lights, we find that art and design will always be a part of our lives. Interior designers make shopping a draw. Fashion designers decide how we look like. Graphic designers help to colour our lives. If there were no designers, what we see on television would be a dull image. Automobile Technology & Engineering A very hands on program would be the pathway of those who are interested in working on cars and vehicles. With the growth of the automobile industry and the growing number of vehicles on the roads today, there is a shortage of qualified people who can keep our vehicles in proper shape. This course is good for people who are good with their hands and it provides a pathway also to those who are interested in going further into the study and design of the next generation of vehicles we will see on our roads soon. In countries like Australia, an automobile technician earns in excess of AUD60,000 per year. Bakery This course provides students with the practical skills and knowledge to make bread, cakes and pastries and sell these products in a retail environment ensuring food quality and hygiene.
